18 May 2015

No words can easily describe my joy at present. At my first entry to the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) NSW State award, I have scored one Silver Distinction and one Silver awards. Hurray! ‪#‎AIPP‬ ‪#‎awards‬ ‪#‎joy

Thank you so much for your wishes and congrats. I’m still stunned receiving one Silver Distinction and one Silver awards on my very first attempt. This morning I have received the award stamps. Here they are the 2 awarded prints……I have found out that my Nadal print was the only Silver Distinction in the category of Documentary hence the highest scoring print too for that category.
I would like to thank Luke McCormac of Kayell Australia who has supplied, calibrated and profiled my Epson 9900 printer, EIZO CG276 monitor and ‪#‎Canson‬ paper so I can produce these beautiful colour corrected fine art prints. Also Charlee from Gordon Framing did a fantastic job with presentation mounts. I only gave the poor guy 2 days. ‪#‎AIPP‬ ‪#‎awards‬ ‪#‎joy‬

The good news keep coming. At the AIPP NSW Awards Presentation DInner last night, I was announced a Finalist and took the second place of the “2015 AIPP NSW Documentary Photographer of the Year”. I did not attend the dinner as I was busy packing for the trip to Roland-Garros today plus the idea of being nominated a finalist had never crossed my mind. Such a great honour to be mentioned alongside the best of our trade. Can someone please pinch me cause it can’t be real?
Enjoy the gallery of the great awardees. Mega congratulations to all the 2015 winners.
